Catholics have been asking for the intercession of the saints since the earliest days of the Church. Just as you might ask a friend or family member to pray for you, we can ask the men and women already united with Christ in Heaven to pray alongside us. The saints are not distant historical figures—they are our spiritual family, cheering us on, praying for us, and pointing us toward God.
